Hi . Just wondering if any of you have been away for a holiday/vacation since you lost your Angel. For some including myself, i felt so misrable it was not part of my agenda. After Nicky died we had a holiday booked as this was already planned before my son's death. well we went on the Holiday and boy were we the type you would of advoided being near.(lol) However although it was so sad , we felt the time out from everything to do with death and home helped. However i really feel like i could do with a break now. what about you ?

I haven't even thought about a vacation except if I could get together with you all. My husband tries to get me to go visit his family in Alabama but I always make an excuse not to go. I feel bad but I just want to stay home.

Dear Angela, Have a wonderful holiday, knowing that your Nicky will be tagging along :) We went to Cornwall around 8wks after James passed over for a week. Some of the time was good and some days were absolute c**p. My dear mum in law suggested we had a break and we took her advice. Cornwall is around 7/8hr drive from here and my poor husband couldn't drive for all that time, so we had to find a hotel en route where we stayed the night, both ways. I only remember probably about 3 of the days and what we did. I'm glad we went, as we had a wonderful sign from James, a pure white owl swooped down over our windscreen one evening, as we were driving down a dark country lane. His 3 friends had a white owl sit right next to them, 2 days after his passing, when they had gone to a cave where James used to take them. The following year, we went to the TT Races on the Isle Of Mann, which my husband just booked so I had to go really. That was really not very good, as it was James' 1st Birthday in spirit and I kept bursting into tears on the day. We did have some good days though, at a retired tram horse home and a cat sanctury. We go away fairly regular, mostly staying with friends who live in different parts of the country and last year flew to West Palm Beach for a conference. I know James is always with us when we go away, so that in itself is comforting. Love and Blessings Denise xxx
