Eric and Tyler

I just had a birthday in November, and if you read Eric's site you know I just turned 51. ( I couldn't be as sneaky since my daughter gave me away. )I work as a children's assistant at the public library, and I love my job. I get to play all the time.I was working part time at Pizza Hut( I worked there for years before starting at the library) but I, like you, just didn't have the strength to do it after Eric's death. My co-wokers at the library are wonderful people. Two of the ladies I work with lost their own sons at 23. Quite a coincedence! But they are wonderful support.

My husband is a disabled veteran from the Vietnam war. He worked in the oilfield for 27 years before the injury to his legs got the best of him. He stays home now, but remains busy. Pretty good at housework, but not much of a cook.
We had three children, Tracy, Marcy & Eric. They were all two years apart and grew up very close.Tracy is 28 now and has a 10 year old son, Tyler. Tracy has been through drug re-hab twice now, but cannot kick the meth habit. We have raised Tyler since he was two. She is a wonderful, loving mother, but she is addicted and irresponsible. Please keep her in your prayers. Tracy is a very smart, pretty, and kind person, but the demons have took her spirit.
Marcy is 26, and Eric was her baby bro. They talked every day. My heart aches for her, she misses Eric so very much. But Marcy has a marvelous fiancee, Dave. He is so good to her and so understanding. They are getting married in Las Vegas December 27th. So Exciting!
Eric was the baby, and it was such a joy to get our boy. Eric would have been 24 , but was killed 19 days before his birthday. He was all boy, but had a kind, gentle side uncommon to a lot of men. Such a sweetheart. Many of Eric's friends were lifeolng friends, and they were like my own kids. I am so grateful for them coming by to visit and keep Gary and I informed of their lives.
Tyler is our joy. He's 10 and in 4th grade. He played flag football this fall and that was fun. He reminds me so much of Eric, and especially playing football( That was Eric's game). Tyler is a straight A student. Very smart like his mamma.
Then there's Max our snauzer(?). He adores Gary and keeps him constant company. We got Max when he moved in under a friend's porch a ouple of years ago.
I have much to be thankful for and I thank God every day for the joys in my life. Eric was certainly one of them and I do miss him every minute. But life does go on because there are many moments yet to fill.
Thank you. You may share this with other angel mom's if you like. I feel we are all family. Thank you all for your love and support.
