I'm 51 and have been married for 23 years. I had Jake when I was 31 and Sara when I was 34. I didn't get married until I was 28 and wish I had had time to have more children. I have worked as a CNA for the last 5 years and just got a job at are local subway in town. I needed a change. I managed a pizza parlor for 5 years back in the 90's and that was fun. I loved working with the teenagers. I found being a cna in a nursing home just to depressing now and I would get so attached to the residents there. I still plan on visiting my favorites and taking them things they love but working there was just getting to hard. It's hard to lose them.
I live in the country in Northern Illinois with my hubby, son Jake and our two dogs and several cats. I don't really have any hobbies other than reading. I'm not a crafty person but I love going to craft shows and buying things. I lived for my family. Taking care of them gave me so much joy. I have several close friends that keep me busy now and just had a close friend who I grew up with move back to Illinois after her divorce and now she only lives about 5 miles away from me. I cherish my friends.
I lost my Father in 1962 and my mother in 1979. I have an older brother and sister who live near by. I had a great Mom who raised me pretty much by herself. She died to young and never got to see my children. Sara would be her only grandaughter.
Losing my child my daughter has been the hardest thing ever. She was a blessing as was my son who I have to keep going for. He is a great kid.
It would be nice if you could forward everybody else's short bio so we could all read about each other.
Always
Jo
